Always wondered what the Leaderboard option stood for? Wanted to get your name up there but don't know how? Well this guide will help you with both.

Note: As usual, we request you to upgrade our app to the latest version to avail this, and many more fixes, features and games to enjoy.

What is the Leaderboard feature?

There are three types of Leaderboards:

All-Time Leaderboard

Provides a ranking for all game.tv players based on their ELO scores. It is updated weekly at Monday 00:00 UTC.

Top 3 players are showcased in a Olympic-style virtual podium, letting their competitors know who to aim for. The rest (from 4th place onwards) are displayed below this, all the way to the 20th place.

Your profile will be pinned to the bottom part with the ranking to the left. Unless you are in the top 20 positions, it will also be displayed at the bottom when you scroll down.

Club-Specific Leaderboard

Shows the ranking for all the club followers based on their ELO scores. It also is updated weekly, monthly and cumulatively (from game.tv's start to present day).

Here also, the top 3 players are showcased in a Olympic-style virtual podium, letting their competitors know who to aim for. The rest (from 4th place onwards) are displayed below this, all the way to the 20th place (or a lesser amount if your club has less than 20 followers).

Your profile will be pinned to the bottom part with the ranking to the left. Unless you are in the top 20 positions, it will also be displayed at the bottom when you scroll down.

Club Wars Leaderboard

Displays the ranking of all clubs based on their ELO scores. It also is updated weekly, monthly and cumulatively (from game.tv's start to present day).

Here as well, the top 3 clubs are showcased in a Olympic-style virtual podium, letting their competitors know who to aim for. The rest (from 4th place onwards) are displayed below this, all the way to the 20th place.

How are the Leaderboard rankings calculated?

Both Leaderboards are calculated based on three major criteria for which you receive points:
    a. Number of Matches/Lobbies won
    b. Number of Tournaments won

    c. Number of Byes received

The number of matches/lobbies won and byes received are multiplied by a predefined points system. Then they are added together to get the base score

The exact points are kept secret to avoid any exploitation of the Leaderboard by opportune players.

The above score and criteria are then multiplied by specific weights (once again kept secret for similar reasons) to calculate where you stand vis-a-vis others on the Leaderboard.

In case of a tie, a ready algorithm kicks in, prioritizing certain criteria mentioned above others. Those who score more there will be pushed higher.
